Enrolling Your Child in FYO

Enrollment in the strings program for the 2011-12 school year will close on Friday, September 16.

Enrollment for After-School Youth String Program:

♫     Enrollment is offered free of charge by the Flagler County School District.

♫     Any student living in Flagler County is eligible to enroll: 3rd graders and older.

♫     Students may elect to play violin, viola, cello, or doublebass.

♫     Beginner, intermediate and advanced musicians are all welcome.

♫     Classes are held at Indian Trails Middle School twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays in one hour sessions from 3 pm to 6 pm.

♫     Information on instrument sales and rentals from area music stores will be available at the open house.

Students will learn about the enriching world of classical, as well as many other genres of music, while receiving string instruction in a player-friendly environment. All members, even beginners, will participate in performance opportunities organized throughout the year.

Our music director and lead conductor, Caren Umbarger, has worked with young musicians for the past 29 years and brings a nurturing and methodical approach to teaching strings. Assisting Umbarger is a dynamic teaching staff with nearly 50 years of combined experience.

Join the fastest growing, most exciting music program in Florida.
