OPEN ENROLLMENT IS CLOSED FOR 2012-13

Enrollment for After-School Youth String Program:

♫ Enrollment is offered free of charge by the Flagler County School District.

♫ Any student living in Flagler County is eligible to enroll: 3^rd graders and older.

♫ Students may elect to play violin, viola, cello, or doublebass.

♫ Beginner, intermediate and advanced musicians are all welcome.

♫ Classes are held at Indian Trails Middle School twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays in one hour sessions from 3 pm to 6 pm.

♫ Information on instrument sales and rentals from area music stores will be available at the open house.

Students will learn about the enriching world of classical music, as well as many other genres, while receiving string instruction in a player-friendly environment. All members, even beginners, will participate in performance opportunities organized throughout the year.

Our music director and lead conductor, Caren Umbarger, has worked with young musicians for the past 30 years and brings a nurturing and methodical approach to teaching strings. Assisting Umbarger is a dynamic teaching staff with nearly 60 years of combined experience.
